Are You Stuck in the Traditional PT Cycle?
Seeing Multiple Patients at Once
Insurance Controlling Your Recovery
Unable to Return to Your Sport
You're sharing your therapist's attention with 2-5 other patients, getting only minutes of actual one-on-one care each session.
Your treatment is dictated by insurance limits, not your body's actual needs, forcing you to stop care before you're truly ready.
Traditional PT focuses on pain relief but doesn't prepare you for the demands of CrossFit, basketball, running, or the activities you love.

"When I first injured my knee, I tried a PT practice that tended to me and 2-5 other patients at once. When a friend recommended Dr. Jasmine a year later, I had long resigned myself to the notion that my knee would be a barrier to favorite activities forever. I took the risk, and I'm so glad that I did. From the beginning, Dr. Jasmine was incredibly kind, clear in her communications, and a keen observer of the nuances of my injury. My knee has improved markedly, as has my knowledge base for understanding recovery, pain, and my body generally. Everyone deserves the quality of care Dr. Jasmine provides."

Sports Physical Therapy FAQs
1. Do you take my insurance?
Process Physical Therapy and Performance is an out-of-network provider and does not directly accept insurance. Current insurance reimbursement rates lead to companies seeing more than one patient at a time and/or seeing patients for shorter periods. We value your treatment, recovery, and time. We believe you deserve better quality and care. Insurance should not be in control of your care or determine how many visits you should have. By not allowing insurance to control your care, you will require fewer visits and may spend less money when considering co-pays, deductibles, and extra visits.

2. Can I bill my insurance for reimbursement?

Yes! We provide you with a Superbill that includes proof of your appointment and all information needed to submit for reimbursement. You can locate reimbursement claim forms on your insurance's website and submit them with the provided Superbill. Reimbursement is dependent upon your insurance plan's out-of-network benefits.

3. How long are physical therapy sessions?

Each session is a full hour of one-on-one care with you
r physical therapist. Unlike traditional PT clinics where you share your therapist's attention with multiple patients, you get focused, individualized treatment for the entire session—no assistants, no distractions.

4. What should I expect at my first visit?

Your initial assessment is comprehensive and takes time to get it right. We'll perform a detailed movement analysis to identify limitations in mobility, strength, motor control, and endurance. We'll watch you perform activities that may currently be challenging or painful, discuss your goals, and create a customized treatment plan. No guesswork—just accurate diagnosis and a clear path forward.

5. What makes Process PT different from traditional physical therapy?

We're performance-based, not injury-based. You'll spend more time moving and less time on a massage table because movement is medicine. We focus on how well you move and perform, not solely your injury. We'll discuss what activities are still safe for you to perform while recovering, keeping you as active as possible. Our goal is to get you back to your sport or activity better than before, with the tools to prevent reinjury.

6. Do I need a doctor's referral?

Maryland is a direct access state, which means you do not need a doctor's referral to see a physical therapist. You can schedule your free consultation directly with us and start your recovery right away.
