Sports Physical Therapy in Riverdale, MD

Move Without Limits. Train Without Fear.

Shoulder pain blocking your lifts? Knee keeping you off the court? Our one-on-one PT gets you back to the activities you love—without stopping them entirely.

Every Week Without Answers Is Another Week Away From Your Sport

Rushed appointments aren't fixing anything

Fifteen-minute check-ins with a rotating aide aren't a care plan. You deserve a full hour with a DPT who actually knows your goals.

Generic exercises aren't built for your sport

Cookie-cutter programs don't account for CrossFit, basketball, or cycling demands. You need a plan designed around how you actually move.

Every week off is progress you're losing

Time away from training costs you strength, confidence, and momentum. Pain that lingers without a real plan only makes that worse.

Common Conditions We Treat

What Brings Athletes to Us

People come to us when pain is keeping them out of the gym, off the court, or away from the sport they love. Here's what we commonly see.

Shoulder Pain - Rotator cuff issues, impingement, or overhead pain limiting your press or serve.

Knee Pain - Runner's knee, IT band syndrome, meniscus irritation, or ACL rehab keeping you from squats and sprints.

Low Back Pain - Flare-ups with deadlifts, squats, or long hours sitting that won't go away with rest alone.

Hip Pain - Impingement, labral irritation, or groin tightness limiting your range of motion on the court or in the gym.

Ankle and Foot Pain - Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, or ankle sprains slowing down your training cycle.

Neck and Headache Pain - Tension, stiffness, or headaches from posture, desk work, or sport that disrupt focus and recovery.

Overuse Injuries - Tendinopathy, muscle strains, and repetitive stress injuries that build up over weeks of heavy training.

I started my process with Dr. Jasmine with left knee pain and hands down, she is one of the most knowledgeable, personable, and dedicated PTs I have ever worked with. I've had ongoing knee issues due to sports and two knee surgeries (left and right ACL) and have gone through a lot of different PTs and clinics. Nothing compares to Dr. Jasmine at Process Physical Therapy and Performance. The one-on-one care is truly exceptional, she takes the time to listen attentively to every concern and ensures you feel heard and understood. The depth of knowledge is evident in every session and Dr. Jasmine provides clear explanations/examples and tailored plans that addresses both symptoms and underlying causes of the problem. From where I started to now, I've not only regained the strength and stability in my knee, but the confidence to return to sport. If you're dealing with any physical issue, knee pain or need a PT, Dr. Jasmine is the PT to see. Her expertise, personalized approach, and genuine care make her stand out in the field. I am incredibly grateful for the improvement I've experienced and can't recommend her enough! Thanks, Doc Jaz :)

Frequently Asked Questions

We know choosing cash-based PT is a big decision. Here's what athletes in Riverdale ask us most.

Will I have to stop training while I'm in PT?

Not usually. We'll work with you to identify which activities are still safe and build around them. Our goal is to keep you moving throughout your care—not shut everything down while you wait. We believe movement is medicine, and your plan will reflect that.

How is this different from insurance-based PT?

In a traditional PT clinic, sessions are often 15–20 minutes with a provider managing multiple patients at once. At Process PT, every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one, directly with a licensed DPT. No aides, no shared time, no generic programs—and full control of your care stays with you.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your injury, your goals, and how your body responds. After your evaluation, we'll give you a clear sense of what to expect. We don't keep people longer than they need to be here—many people notice real progress within a few sessions and have a clear long-term plan early on.

Do you accept insurance?

We are cash-based and do not bill insurance directly. We accept payment in full, installment plans, and HSA/FSA cards. After each session we provide a superbill so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement on your own terms. This model means fewer visits and more control over your care.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first visit includes a full movement assessment so we understand exactly what's driving your pain. You'll receive hands-on manual therapy and leave with a clear care plan and a solid understanding of your path forward. No guess work—just answers and a plan you can trust.
